Hi there I have just traveled for the first time with my beardie boris. I am in the forces and I am currently on two weeks leave so needed to bring him with me. It took around 4 hours I had him in a shoe box with heat pads on one side with a towel over the top of them. When I opened the box he was fast asleep he soon woke up and I petted him on his head whilst he was still in the box. He then out of no where started trying to run luckily he was near his viv so he went straight in there. He went into one of the corners flired up and began to his at me.

What do I do??? Help!!!

Thanks in advance

Will

keep on lovin on him. he probably just a bit shook up. hissing wont hurt ya. you may not need the heat pads to travel unless where you are is under 65 degrees. i've taken mine out to the barn with me (about a 20 minute drive) and had them with me for a couple of hours. i use a small animal carrier - its got mesh on 3 sides and on the top so they can see out.

Hi; And Welcome to BDF; He is probably just a little upset and as Canicke; said hissing won't hurt you. Just talk to him and let him know your with him and he will be fine-Long drive for a beardie so he has to let you know he may be hungry and maybe that is what the hissing is about but my girl done it once and she just didn't want to be bothered[tried taking her out for a bath] She was going into a big shed and letting me know to leave her alone. Now today she's going into another big shed and I took her out to bath her and no hissing so it's usually something they want. When was he fed?? May be the reason. Welcome again-and ask questions we all had to learn -river-7
