First time I tried this. My skink didn't like it but Precious went crazy over it. After she ate some from my hand, I put slivers of it on her salad. She probably ate about 1/8 of the can. I never know what Precious will like but I know bananas are a favorite for hers because she doesn't get it too often . This stuff has a strong smell of banana flavoring. She may turn her head to it next time I offer it though.
Anyway, how long is a refrigerated opened can good for?

Probably lasts as long as a can of cat food in the fridge so probably only a few days. The only things I would be careful about is the sugar content since Dextrose is one of the first few ingredients and the Vitamin A content.

How is Miss Tequila doing?

Well I won't let her have that again! Oh well. It's just always a major moment for me when I find something different that either of them will like!

Tequila is doing wonderfully, thanks for asking! I have been giving her antibiotic injections every 3 days. We've got 2 more to go then we're done. Major milestone for me giving her the injections, I was terrified of the idea. If you could imagine her small leg and trying not to hit bone while also staying in between the tiny scales, so hard. I really can't believe I've been able to do it. She doesn't feel it except one time I think I did hit the bone and she had a drop of blood, she did flinch that time. Despite that, she's really come around with her personality. More outgoing, even has had what seemed like affectionate moments. It's been suggested she's looking more like a boy but it's still too early to tell yet. 9 weeks we've had her and she's gone from 80 to 360 grams, she's only 6 months old! She's as big as Precious but just built differently, Precious still has a bit more weight on her but I guess not for long.
Believe it or not, she and Precious have quite a bit of contact with each other. I've never seen Precious seek her out but she certainly tolerates her. Tequila, on the other hand, seeks her out and copies what Precious does and is less scared when she knows Precious is there. She seems to lean on Precious for confidence and security and will stay close to her when they're out together. Thing is, Precious spends a lot of time out of her cage which is why I finally decided to see how they'd do together because I didn't like putting Precious back in to let Tequila out. I don't know how long it will last but I sure hope it does.

Those pictures are just too cute! I can't believe they like each other so much now. Glad Tequila is feeling better. After giving Cleo shots when she was sick, I've decided that I want to always give my animals shots. So much easier than prying mouths open and making sure the medicine stays in!
