Too much humudity

So lately I've been having problems controlling the humidity in Gojira's tank. I am having problems keeping it from going above 40%. In the mornings it is very high, around 55%, but someone told me that was okay, because it is the same in nature, humid in the morning and it gets drier. So my questions is this, I have tried everything, more heat, rice packets to try to pull moisture out, even a dehumidifier. If I were to run a piece of plexi a few inches into his tank to the top, seal it with non-toxic sealant, could I put a small cup of Damprid in this sealed off space? To my knowledge it doesn't give off any odors or gasses, it's just calcium carbonate. And he wouldn't have any access to it as it would be sealed off, would this be safe?

It wouldn't really make much difference, not is it in anyway necessary. The humidity you have is absolutely fine. You actually want it somewhere in the 30-50% range in my opinion, so sounds like you're set. As long as you have the right temperatures and decent ventilation, the humidity is not an issue
