Hi! I'm very close to being a new beardie owner. Just grabbing everything I need beforehand. So I was working on buying vitamin and calcium powders to put on my baby's live prey. I guess my main question is, is it necessary, am I over doing it, and/or even maybe doesn't matter either way that I use the powder when giving live prey, give regular "bearded dragon food", and providing veggies all at the same time..? Sorry if a little confusing lol.

It never hurts to supplement a bit. Calcium without D3 one live meal a day and a multivitamin one meal a week is fine. Avoid the bearded dragon food pellets, it's just processed garbage and it probably won't get eaten. I get what you are saying about the veggies. Every veggie offers a different nutrient but we can't be sure that 1. they are even going to eat their salad and 2. that they are going to eat every veggie in the salad.

I have a 3 year old girl that refuses to eat her salad. I dust every bug that goes in her mouth. Plus her bugs get fed her salad stuff for the week in the hopes that she will somehow get the nutrients that way.
