I have a flat rock for one of my beardies to bask on. I'm getting worried because the rock seems to soak up all the heat, and it seems too warm for him? Help!

What temp is the actual rock? They can naturally tolerate surface temps of up 50-60oC for short periods of time (yes it does get that hot in the outback perfect goana temps)

Well, I keep my digital therm probe on the rock. So, the temp is usually about 39*C. Hopefully that tells the temp of the rock?

Yep, that will tell us what temp your rock is. You are fine. Beardies bask in temps around 40C.
