Thoughts I had the other day

I am pretty much the main caregiver of our family of reptiles. Something I do with great joy. I love them all. The only two who dont get kissed are the crevice lizard...he wouldnt bite, but isnt still in your hand, and the tokay, cant imagine having her stuck to my lips in a bite. I digress. I was feeding them roaches the other day, and I just put my hand in there, and grab a few for each reptile who likes them. And for one moment I thought...10 years ago, there is no way in _ _ _ _ I would I have stuck my hand in a box of roaches that size, and as many of you know they tend to climb up your arm. The crickets...not so bad. I dont like the biting superworms, so I am quick with them.
The fuzzies with the sand boa, I am getting use to that, as long as I dont look at them. Yes, I think they are cute. Mike and I go back and forth about feeding the pinkies to the dragons, I don't want to..He thinks Sadie will be fine with a pinkie once a week.
Thanks for letting me ramble.

Lol...it is funny what we do for our scaled friend, isn't it? I'm not a fan of bugs, but I'd chase a cricket to ensure the viv is bug free so Bernie didn't get disturbed. Well, maybe I didn't actually do the chasing, but the hubby did. The lucky crickets would get thrown out back. Our outdoor cricket population is massive thanks to leftovers!

The dragon will definitely not be alright with a pinky once a week, once a month maybe and only if your running high temps but definitely not once a week. That's a recipe for disaster.

Pinkies, yeah. Dont think P will ever have the good fortune to experience them. I always look at them at the pet store then get a visual image of P eating crickets with those crunchy sounds and then picture it being the poor little pinkie. Then I shiver and walk on LOL

Hope that helps.
