I haven’t posted in awhile but I have been reading posts, most everyone is super nice and helpful I have noticed. Thank you.
My almost two year old beardie Thorin is doing great. Health check was great, good weight and color, normal stools, and still a big divo!
His vet and I believe he just doesn’t want the squash anymore but we found that blue berries are a bigger hit than strawberries, he gets them maybe every two weeks and we are trying peas. Loves his mixed greens, super worms and being outside when it is warm enough. I was told to keep trying the squash ever now and than to see if he wants it again. I am also going to introduce more beardie friendly veggies as we go along. I just love his personality. Thorin is awesome.

Thorin is starting to make it a habit to eat his live food like this. Love him so much!

I know some may hate this and call me out for using it but he loves digging in it and he even buried himself in it before. I have checked with our vet, many websites, many pet stores and no where have I found where it will hurt him in anyway. I feed him all live food out of a stainless steel bowl and his greens are in a standard feeding dish. On the cool side of his cage he has a green grass pad ( artificial) made for tanks. Plus he has climbing things too. I like this substrate because it is eco friendly as well beardie friendly. Sorry for a long reply but I know some may have more questions.

Cool! I want to get my bearded dragon loose substrate. I think she would like to dig in it. I have her on a sand mat, which is really hard to clean.

She is a cutie? Yeah the artificial grass mat is hard to clean too. The substrate I scoop and when he get a few green scraps every where I can pick those up out of it easily. I change it once a week. But a soft and clean every day.

Sorry out correct, I sift every day. And she is a cutie! Just adorable. How old is she? Thorin will be two in late October.

She will be three in December!
What type of enrichment things do you have for her? Thorin has a hammock, wood to climb on some hiding pieces plus I take him outside and to work during the warmer days. I am worried about how to keep him active once winter gets here.

He should Brumate this winter. I have a hammock as well, I also have a huge cave I use! She also gets to go outside whenever it’s warm. Also, when it is cold outside, you can hang out with him like in your room or something. I like to use things like books to make mazes around my room to keep her active during days when it is cold. You can also get a clear ball and cut a hole in it. Put bugs in the hole and seal it and he can chase that around.

He’s looking nice and plump, glad to see he’s doing good, has he had hornworms yet?
