Thistles tubby. We think he's already starting his second shed since he came home with us a week ago!

Just an update on Thistle. He is starting to get quite the appetite. He will eat between 10-15 Dubia roaches a day. His belly is so fat after he eats!! (still not many veggies yet, though. I just bought some collard greens today. We will see how he does with those) I saw him wave for the first time yesterday (to me) and head bob today (not sure who he was doing this to, I was out of his site watching him from around the corner. His reflection maybe?). My son (10 yrs old) is doing an amazing job taking care of him. He feeds him in the morning before school and in the afternoon after school. He also cleans Thistle's bowls and takes out his veggies after dinner. Thistle is starting to act like he sort of enjoys being held. I put him in my sweatshirt pocket today and he nestled right in and fell asleep for about a half hour. :) We are really enjoying having Thistle as a pet!!

Me too! I was pretty nervous during the first week or so because I've read about so many ways to go wrong. Every weird movement Thistle did I would google it or come on this site. Lol! I was addicted to sitting in front of his cage and staring at him. (I really need to get a life!) but now that I'm sure that everything I'm doing is right, I've been able to relax a bit. One thing I can say, not that I'm rushing time, is I can't wait till he's not so tiny and fragile! This site has been such a huge help, too! Especially Germ and Aleena!! Very knowledgable and quick to respond. THANK YOU!!
