Thinking about adding a baby berdie

We have a 2 1/2 year old male Berdie and we have been thinking about getting a new on. A friend. Is it okay to get a baby and put them in the same tank. My tank is big enough I can put a small tank inside the other one and separate them for a while. In the end I would like to keep them together. We currently only have one and he has been that way since we bought him 2 yrs ago. Thought concerns.

You can't put them together your big one will eat the baby. U need to keep them separated and don't put the smaller tank in the bigger tank there's no reason for it and ur big bearded will stress the little one out. In the end even when their close to the same size and are BOTH FEMALE they still probably won't get along especially since by the time the baby is big enough your old dragon will be like 3 1/2 yrs old

Males have to separated at all times. Males will fight each other and if you put a female in there it will stress her out

okay. I thought he would like a friend, but it sounds like it is better to only have one unless you have the ability to breed them

I ditto all of the above.. They are solitary critters and it is very rare that they get along, some will but they can change on a drop of a hat...always best to keep by themselves.. Even if the tanks are next to eachother they can drive themselves crazy trying to get to eachother..

Even when you are breeding them they should only be left together to mate then take them apart as the male will literally mate the female to exhaustion and at times death.. :( also the males are pretty aggressive and bite the female during the process.

They are solitary animals and the only companionship they need is you. It's not even a good idea to have them in tanks where they can see each other because it will stress them out. I have mine stacked one on top of the other and my boy can somehow see the girl below him and will head bob and get upset because he can see her from the reflection coming from the tv across the room. My girl in turn sees him and starts waving at him in submission.
