I was sitting outside today and save a small Anole. Then while looking for what he was head bobbing I saw a tiny Anole. Here are some pictures of it but it is hard see just how tiny he is b/c I could not get anything close enough to get a size comparison. He is about 1.5 inches from nose to tail.

I don't know if they are native or not but I know they are EVERYWHERE and get in the house a lot.

Did some quick research and found the Green Anole is in fact native to the US.

"Although the green anole is the only anole species native to the U.S., several other species have been introduced in Florida and are expanding their ranges northward." http://www.floridiannature.com/Anoles.htm

Cute lil fella... I've got both the brown and greens myself.. The adults lay eggs in my potted outside veggies, and every spring through late summer, babies hatch... saw one the other day no longer than two knuckles length on my pinkie..

Thank you, glad you all enjoyed. I like taking pictures of these little guy since they are a wild reptile and to much surprise they let me get very close to them. This little one was the most difficult but was still able to get less than 2 feet from him. The adults that have been around for a while will run across my feet when I am working in the garden, they are almost tame at this point. No matter how "tame" they seem, I do not disturb them. Unless Kenz wants to catch one for a closer look, then it is set free in just a couple of minuets so we don't cause them too much stress.
