Hey guys! So let me start by introducing myself. I'm Tashia. I am the happy mommy of a 7 month beardie named Toothless. And yes I do call her my baby! I also have 3 minions that I actually birthed.

Next step is a question that I need help with. I'm looking to purchase Toothless a new enclosure. I'd like to know what's better, a terrarium or a tank? And how large should I get? She's currently in a 20 gallon starter tank.

Since you won't be keeping water in it it doesn't have to be waterproof period I find it easier access sliding doors on the front rather than removing something from the top because the top is for all the heating and lighting accessories.

Thank you!!!! This is exactly what I needed to be told lol. Would you possibly be able to suggest any enclosures?

Oh – and – go to beardeddragons.org. A wealth of information. Please do not rely on pet store advice – it's wrong more often than it's right. Got a question? Someone here will clarify it for you

I agree with the sliding doors or front opening doors. Not only because your lighting goes on the top but because bearded dragons shouldn't be picked up from overhead, they should be scooped up from the front so they don't think you are a predator. I like the doors also because I'm only 5 feet tall, having to reach down into a tank to get something would be a real pain in the butt :)

I'm 4'10 so that's why I was thinking sliding doors would be best for me haha. But I did a lot of research last night and I found wooden enclosures that people made themselves. My husband said he's going to make her one for me this week :)
