Sorry i dont know if this topic has already been answered, so i know a juvenile needs 100 to 110 degrees, and i keep seeing adults need less, like 95 to 100 is that correct??? He is about 4 years old. I just recently bought myself a Zoo Med powersun 100w mercury vapor bulb, i originally bought an 80w for a 75 gallon but the temp seemed low with the 80w and i know it goes by distance from the bulb. So i got the 100w powersun and it doesn’t seem to be around 95 and im using a handheld thermometer but is a 160w way too much for a 75 gallon? Where his basking spot is his body is at least 12” away from the screen where the light is. His head is like 9” away, when i used the temp gun it said 83 on his body. So for the ferguson zone, zone 4 said for a 80w has to be 4” to 6”. 100w says 6” to 10” and for 160w says 12” to 16” away from bulb.

Temps for a adult dragon are 95-110-- it is good to offer a heat gradient- are you still using the long tube for the UVB? The power sun is a mvb- or just a basking bulb? I believe it's a mvb-- I am not familiar w/ the mvb's-- to me they are more for experienced owners that have used them and I have not had that experience w/ them-- maybe hooman can help here

Oh ok i was using a 150w basking bulb and he seemed like it was to hot and he would hide from it so i got the mvb bulb. Im also giving my bearded dragon a 125 gallon tank on friday ;) he is so spoiled but im not sure if i should use the 10.0 uvb from Reptisun. I guess ill leave the mvb on his basking area but when i transfer him over to the 125 gallon ill use both lights
