Took Precious out for just a few minutes, the weather was sunny and refreshingly warmer but not yet warm enough for her to be out enjoying it for too long. She loves getting the fresh air and afterwards when I put her back in her cage, she absolutely did not want to go back! I think she would've preferred to stay outside longer. I'm not sure the pics show it as well but what I found fascinating is when I brought her back inside, you could see where she was wearing the harness dress and what parts of her body were soaking up the sun...very much like tan lines, lol.

My hubby had quite a reaction to her dress. I got a stern warning of not buying my daughters beardie any clothes. LOL. Ya well, I guess we'll have to see if she gets a boy or girl. Haha

I did Halloween costumes. It was fun except Luci won't sit still for anything so trying to get him in his costume was a nightmare along with trying to get him to sit still for photos with Dexter!

I couldn't believe when I saw that harness on clearance for $3 at Petco! It's not really my style and I probably wouldn't have given it a thought if it wasn't for that price but it actually seems more comfortable and secure than the old one I had for her.
Patsy, so were you able to get any pics? Did you post them?

Oh I did get pics! I even took them to Petco for the pet contest! It was the first time I ever took Luci to the pet store, and they were happy to see him since that's where I got him from but he was so wild I almost lost him! Wouldn't stay in costume or even in his leash. I posted them here let me see if I can find them....

Oh my gosh...my son and I really enjoyed that, absolutely adorable!! The costumes and scenes were so beautiful! That was so great that Dexter won the first contest!
My son is excited for the warmer weather to be able to take Precious to the pet stores with us. He would love any opportunity to be able to talk about her and pretend that he's a little bearded dragon expert lol. There will be pet pics with the Easter Bunny at a local mall in 2 weeks and he can't wait to take her...if I don't forget by then. I guess they don't do the Easter pics at Petco or Petsmart anymore? Or at least not around here.
10 years ago when I had my rats, I used to take them to the pets stores for holiday pics and they were always such a big hit...and coincidentally, the best behaved of all the pets there!

Our Petco does the "Reptile Fest" and the way they advertise it they make it seem like you can meet other people with reptiles and their reptiles. So I brought Dexter last year and nothing was going on. I asked the girl at the register and she said it was just a reptile sale. I complained about it on their Facebook page because so many people were posting picture of their reptiles at different stores and how much fun they had. Petco CALLED me like 1/2 hour after my post and asked me what exactly happened and they called the store. Someone from the store called me to apologize and told me to bring Dexter and Luci in for the Halloween contest and they would have a special prize. The Halloween contest was between Dexter and a puppy (Like I said Luci went nuts) and they both won. The puppy got some treats and Dexter got a 24" light fixture, a large cricket keeper, 2 cans of grasshoppers and a gift card! I felt bad for the puppy because everyone was fussing over Dexter and I was just trying to corral Luci I didn't know what was going on! I brought Luci in a plastic shoe box and I couldn't keep the lid on so when they gave me the cricket keeper I put him in there but forgot about the holes for the tubes and when I looked down he was crawling out of one of the holes! My boyfriend wasn't home at the time so I had taken them both by myself, I'll never do that again!

There are a few people that work at my Petco that have been there for a long time and know me and always ask about Dexter. I usually bring her in tucked under my jacket and when they see me holding my jacket the go "do you have her?!!!!" They just love her. :)

That is so cool! I must confess last night I was looking at how to make the harnesses. Might have to see about some outfits too. My daughter would get a thrill out of it I'm sure. I need to hurry up and finish the enclosure so that I can get our beardie home!
