taking care of beardie while gone

My family and I are planning to take a trip for a week in June but I don't believe my beardie could come. It's a long car ride and he isn't fond of those. I don't really trust friends and family with them because they don't really have experience with reptiles. Are there people who take care of them or are their beardie sitters (if that's even a thing)?

How old is the dragon? You can ask at one of your local pet stores or vets office about people experienced that might look after your dragon or
A lot of that has to do with the dragons age based on what I've seen with my guys. The young dragons need a lot more attention so while they're OK for a couple of days without anyone around, they really should get someone to stop by every day or two in order to clean and offer fresh food.

Adults are much easier. I've found they are OK if someone stops by once or twice per week to clean and offer food. It's always best if someone can check in on them more frequently, but that isn't always an option. It's not ideal if someone can't check on them for a week, but I don't think it's likely to cause long term issues as long as the lights are automated and temps are OK
