Tail rot?

Hello!
This is Ike and we’ve only had him for about 3 weeks now (we found him outside). Vet gave him a clean bill of health a few days after we found him. But I noticed this last week his tail darkening. I’m worried it might be tail rot? He gets plenty calcium, protein, greens, UVB lighting, and plenty of room to roam (48x24x24 terrarium + time daily to roam the house).

Looks like shed --- poor dude you found him outside -- have you checked around to see if he belongs to someone in your area? What are you using for a UVB? Please no coils ----------- your tank is nice size for him -- how are you taking basking temps? No stick ons they are inaccurate ----------- digital probe thermometers along w/ infrared heat guns

He hasn’t shed since we’ve had him. Here’s what his tail looked like on August 8 when we took him to the vet for an overall wellness check.

Oh man he wasnt eating very good was he? The T 5 you have is a good UVB where do you have it? Top of screen or inside the tank? What are you feeding him for a staple feeder? Here is a website for nutrition ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder - https://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=256333&p=1946073#p1946073
If you need websites for worms/ insects let me know I will post some for you -- has he gained weight since ?

He was very skinny when we found him. I think he was out on his own for a while. He has started to plump up nicely since then, He eats very well. Raddicio, endive, mustard greens, and summer squash every day. Occasionally I’ll add some carrots, peas, and strawberries. I use Rapashy calcium with D3 to dust his crickets. He eats those every other day per vets recommendation to start getting him used to eating more greens (only about a year old). Lights are inside the cage. It’s a Carolina custom cage setup. I just noticed a gray patchy spot on back of his neck. I think he’s probably going to shed soon.

And where do you have the UVB?

Ok so it looks to be 12-15 inches -- I would get another piece of basking decor and get it better underneath it -- right now the hammock doesnt look like its quite there -- he needs to be able to sit directly under it ---
