Tail Problems

Hello,

Pickles and I are new to the forum and each other.

I was just a little worried about the end of his tail. Of course I stumbled across tail rot while google, but I was hoping I could get some advice, before going to a vet.

On that note we have not chosen a vet yet, any advice on how to find a good one? We live in New Jersey (South). Also personal opinions on when / how often to visit the vet.

That has been bitten it looks like - I am thinking it should fall off but keep an eye on it watch for infection - to prevent infection use some raw unpasteurized honey like manuka-- it will kill it--- you don't want infection to creep up the tail- if it does you will need to see a reptile vet--- here's a website to help w/ that www.arav.org

I wanted to update this in case anyone else stumbles on it, 4ish months later the spot on his tail can still be seen but does looks better. It did not get worse.
