So I was with my bearded dragon and noticed a little part of his tail is either cut or something can anyone give it a look and where I should go from here. It could be normal and I’m over reacting but I drove with him for 4 hours to my house for the summer and he hasn’t been eating like he normally does

You want to soak that in some Betadine you can get it almost anywhere in the med aisle or something . You might want to dilute it with water make sure it's still a dark color , also rub some Manuka honey on it and let that soak and stay on maybe while its asleep so its able to to do its magic. I would do the betadine soak for 5 to 10mins atleast once a day. The manuka honey is expensive but the betadine will help and the betadine is inexpensive a few bucks not even

It doesn’t that was first thing I checked for. does his tail look okay?
It's not too bad . the betadine treatment will prevent it from getting worse and help it heal aswell as the manuka . Get the betadine asap should prevent any possible Rot or Infection . Keep applying the neosporin should clear up possible chance it can dry out and fall off but he will be okay just keep treating it

Also it looks wet because I put neosproin on his tail
I agree use the Betadine on it but I would recommend making it look like a weak tea betadine is pretty strong -- and using the honey here is some info on the honey
Manuka works really good -- but you want raw unpasteurized honey --- keep watch on the tail if it starts to get black and starts creeping up the tail he will need to go to the vet --- if you haft to take pics of it so you can keep better track of it - hes not eating what are you using for a UVB brand and bulb and the basking temps what are they and how are you taking them? Age of the dragon please? Size of the tank ?

Ok this bulb is EXTREMELY important --- this is what controls the eating -- he needs good UVB NO coils for him to absorb/ synthesize the calcium hes taking in -- you want 3 temps in the tank -- basking temps 95-110 -- middle of tank 90's and cool side 80's -- nite time not below 65--- temps need to be taken w/ a digital probe thermometer-- please tell me if its a coil or tube ?

I’m pretty sure it is 2 tubes in a downward way not just one tube

that sounds like a coil please post a pic of it and if it is you need to replace it ASAP--
I went to my go to places and they are both out of stock so I am going to Amazon
this is what you need https://www.amazon.com/Reptisun-260...ht&qid=1619835062&sprefix=UVB+,aps,201&sr=8-5
Please use the 10.0 bulb it comes w/ - the 5.0 can be used as a back up but distance and placement is different --- this is for a 40 + gallon tank ---- when you get the UVB please repost and I will help you get it placed

Keep up w/ the honey and keep eye on it so black does not move up- the tail - I am thinking that end part is gonna fall off then you still want to put honey on it till it scabs over
