Swollen Lip?

About a week ago, I found some bedding stuck to my beardie's lip/cheek. When I was cleaning it off in a bath, I notice it was stuck with saliva and after carefully getting it all cleaned up, I noticed his lip was what I can only describe as very swollen. I've been cleaning it every day with water but it doesn't seem to be getting any better or (thankfully) worse.

I don't know much about caring for bearded dragons, most of my knowledge comes from forums and the like (I rescued him from 3 years of neglect and did TONS of research on them), so I am very worried about what this could be. I've had him for a year and a half now and this is the first time I've seen something like this. Is it something to worry about? Am I doing anything wrong? Please help!

Oh wow, poor guy. I would get him to a vet to get a good look at things. In the mean time get some chlorhexidine and mix a little with dechlorinated water just enough to make the water a sky blue color. Dip a q-tip in it and rub it on the area, even in the mouth if you can get it in. The mouth is a very tricky area because if their mouth doesn't work right, they don't eat. This could just be irritation because something was stuck or it could be mouth rot, which is something more serious.
