I took my bearded dragon out today and I noticed he started limping randomly it looks like he trying to reduce pressure on his front right leg. It looks a bit swollen I’m not sure but he likes to climb on his hammock and his log . So I don’t know if he fell and injured himself. I’m going to try to get him a vet appointment to see what’s up. Also I did research that the type of hammock he has might’ve snagged his nail and maybe injured his leg?? I removed any thing he can climb on and I’m going to make sure to up his calcium dosage just until I can get him in. Also I tried to elevate his leg on something soft .I just hope it’s not broken :(.

He's probably sprained it on the hammock- what kind of uvb are you using? This is going to help heal the leg- it's good you took it out - a fleece or cloth hammock would be better you can find those on Etsy

Any other suggestions until he goes into the vet to make him comfortable?

I’m using the Reptisun T8 10.0 uvb 15watts and It’s a tube light
Ok so I would upgrade the fixture to a 24" either a Zoo Med w/ a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 or a Arcadia Pro T5 12% bulb 24 watt or a Sunblaster Nano Tech w/ the Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb -- the T 8's are not strong enough to go thru a screen and distance would need to be 6-8 inches directly above the basking decor - the T 5 can sit on your screen only distance would need to be 8-10 inches

You can take him in but I would hold off till you get your UVB replaced -- for now get the UVB unobstructed and distance as I posted -- if you need links to the UVB fixtures I can post them
