Switching from crickets

Hello! I am new here and just adopted a 2 month old beardie. Today is the first day we brought him home.
He was on a diet of crickets but I have a pathological fear of crickets. I got him meal worms, wax worms, and night crawlers. I have a dubia roach colony growing.
He has a dish of wax and meal worms right now he isn't touching and had three baby roaches.
I am not terribly worried about slow eating tonight as its been a busy day for him and he is still adjusting but for the future does anyone have any tips or tricks to help the transition from crickets to other feeders smooth? Thank you!

Ps. He is in a large enclosure with lots of decorations so we will be doing "tub feeding". He will be placed in a critter keeper in his tank for feeding time with roaches where I was hoping worms could be in a dish.

Try phoenix worms (reptiworms) instead of the mealworms and waxworms. Mealworms have a hard shell, and waxworms are fatty and not nutritious enough. Nightcrawlers will be way too big for a 2 month old beardie.

Thabk you! Definitely gonna get some phoenix worms. I remember not liking the meal worms with our last beardie.
We get red wigglers too not night crawlers. Much thinner but fairly long.
