So my beardy is 3 years old
I had recently bought
-Reptivite w/D3
-Herptiviye (multivitamin)
-Calcium w/D3

should i get calcium without d3?
And how often should i use each supplement with my dragons diet?? I know too much of any supplement is bad

Are you using a T 5 bulb for UVB? At a year old and if the dragon is eating good salads every day you dont need to really give calcium --- but thats only if they are eating stuff like collards turnip kale and mustard greens --- and you are also using the T 5 UVB--- if your dragon does not eat his salads like he should then you need to give vitamins and still feed the calcium w/ D 3 and with out D3 since my two are naughty and dont eat their salads like they should I am alternating the calcium w/ D3 two days per week and calcium w/ out D3 w / NO phosphorus 3 times per week -- vitamins on the weekends but that is also alternating those calcium supplements---- the insects when fed as I dont feed insects everyday -- I know that is confusing -- my two dragons are over a year old so I haft to alternate those supplements since they arent getting fed insects 5 x per week anymore -- but I am also using the T 5 bulbs in my tanks -- I dont know if that helped or not

Im using a t8 bulb 15w its on top of my screen lid. My beardie is 3 years old and hes about 9 to 10” from the lid where his basking/uvb light is, i can see the uvb go throught the tank when i turn the basking off along with my room light. I know when we look at uvb its dark but to them its more bright so i dont know. Also i just got home and he started twitching his tail (not the tip but towards where his back legs are if that makes sense. It looks like he is shedding in pieces. It kinda started with his feet i noticed. His skin flakes when they come off its like crunchy a little bit, idk if thats normal. But year rn i have calcium with d3, i just sprinkled herptivite of his greens and mealworms/wax worms. I just don’t want to have anything bad happen to him. Internally or externally ya know? He seems fine, he is lazy as can be but im really concerned about the T8 uvb...
Its called the zilla slimline 18 inch t8 (50 uvb) 15w. Like i said the uvb t8 is on top of the screen so i just want to make sure he gets the right amount of uvb if i forget to give supplements

Hes getting barely to any UVB -- T8's are not strong enough to go thru the screen its blocking 30% of the rays --- and the bulb is not a very good one either--- so you can either move the T 8 inside the tank and replace the bulb w/ a Reptisun 10.0 T8 make sure there is NO clear plastic cover over the bulb if there is leave it off when you replace the bulb--- this needs to be done ASAP OR --- you can upgrade the fixture to a 24" w/ reflector and a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 or Arcadia 12% D3 bulb --- both are very good bulbs and I really think the Arcadia is the better bulb --- depending on what your screen is -- fine mesh like a screen door or a wide holed type it has the option of sitting on top but ONLY if its a wide holed other wise it would need to go into the tank 12-15 inches directly above basking decor

Oh no... so at my work i have the zoo med reptisun T8 10.0 uvb lamp it is also 18 inches. Is that good? And can i also put that in the Zilla slimline fixture i have and just swap the bulbs out ? I just have the 18” across the one side with basking bcz i have a 75 gallon tank. The the screen mesh is from exo terra also I ordered from amazon heres the link Exo Terra Screen Cover for Hinged... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LV41V84?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Ok so you have 75 gallon tank I recommend you upgrade to the 24" fixture your UVB is too small for your tank -- the T 8's are good bulbs its just that they are not as strong as the T 5 -- they are great for smaller tanks like a 20 gallon - 35 maybe 40 but even at 40 I always recommend the 24" -- looking at your screen you can sit the T 5 on top of the screen w/ a basking distance directly under it of 8-10 inches

Does the wattage matter, i know it does but not sure for my needs if you have any links to a reptisun fixture and right uvb bulb. So is the uvb only for one side with basking? Or in the middle? Bcz the 18” isn’t sitting on top from left to right, it’s actually back to front where he basks at

Is this a good fixture off amazon Reptisun T5 Ho Terrarium Hood 24" - 51.62 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CX5HXI2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_5FWWFbPPFT3YT the only problem is that it comes with a 5.0 bulb versus 10.0 don’t beardies need a T5 10.0 uvb bulb?

Yes you will need to order either a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 or a Arcadia 12% bulb they are both good bulbs 22" bulb
So the one i linked is good right? It comes with a 5.0 uvb bulb but i will try and get a 10.0. Im not sure why it comes with a 10.0. 10.0 would be good to have sit on top of the lid.

The 5.0 is equivalent to a T 8 and is used for aquariums- keep it for back up distance and placement is different from the T 5- you can put the fixture on top ONLY if your screen is a wide holed - if the screen is a fine mesh it needs to go inside the tank the screen blocks 30% of the Ray's-- distance for the two placements are different so please tell me where it's going-- yes the one you linked is correct
