im about to get a large order of super worms in. Been reading on how to take care of them and I would like some of your opinions. I have a plastic bin to put them in. I have read that I can use rice for them to crawl in and place fruit on top and change fruit every few days. Is this right? What do y'all suggest?

I house mine in wheat bran in a gladware container. I put the same salad stuff on cardboard item and lay ontop of the wheat bran for them.

depends I usually have a couple hundred and when it looks like they are more at the surface and there isn't alot of bran in there I will, or i look at the bottom and see how much poop is there... or if it looks moist.

I heard new one this morning from the lady that has a 6 month old dragon. She was ta her pet store and the sales guy said she shouldn't feed any dragon super worms because they will eat a hole in the lizards stomach.
I LOLed just thought I would share

That's an old wives tale!

I keep my supers in wheat bran also. Some people also use oats. I change it probably once a month when it starts looking real dirty. I use the ends and stems of the greens I give the beardies. Just be careful getting it wet. You don't want any mold to start growing in your substrate.

I would put your veggies that your feeding the worms on a piece of egg carton so it's off the wheat bran it keeps the moisture off better.
