Sunbathing For My First Time [emoji846]

Today, it's pretty nice out, good sun but not too oppressively hot and muggy yet, so I took Lacey out to get some sun for the first time. Wally goes out (almost) every day, but I haven't wanted to take her out yet.

I put her in her Critter Keeper (which I also use during feeding) as that is a good size for her at the moment. She LOVED it! Was standing big and tall, gaping in delight! She did let me know when she had enough though, starting to glass dance on the side. As soon as I reached in, she licked my finger and grabbed on, wrapping all her feet around my finger. It was adorable! It's amazing how she already knows me and is attaching to me, even though she's so new to us!

OMG, you're not lying! She does look sooo happy! And acts happy to! Even when she's basking, she stands tall and proud!! I can't wait till she grows bigger. Should be long at this rate, as she's eating like a horse too. An average of 5 small Dubias or 4-5 BSFLs per meal... Daddy couldn't be prouder!

I saw your video when you first got her and had gone through that with my girl that I purchased through a breeder. Didn't think about doing a video of her and wanted to do one . I have been wanting a super citrus male so yesterday I bought one. He's only four weeks old and will be delivered next week when I finish my big double enclosure for my girls and then I'll start him out in a 20 gallon that Sheila's in now.

Too cute! Considering how big and strong and healthy Lacey is, I was totally floored when Kevin Dunne said her Hatch date was only 8/01! She's an excellent hunter and very playful!

Cool, would love to see your enclosure you're building! If I had a garage or a basement, I would love to be able to undertake that sort of a project, as I love building things with wood- Dragon Beds, refinishing wooden tables/furniture, electric guitars...

#4 for me plus I'm caring for my grandson's dragon Flash. Starting to get expensive since I buy two sizes of crickets plus supers and dubia. Dubias will just be treats.Good part is it will be cheaper the older they get since they require less protein when they are older. Cage was built over 20 years ago. I;m just doing some modifications and putting a partition in. The set up for each side is different. Just need to put the doors on and i'm finished. I need to make something with the bottom portion that's over 16 sq.ft. Wouldn't take a lot of effort to put sliding glass doors in but for now just want to get the girls adjusted. Probably move them in Sunday before my baby boy gets here. I'll post pictures in enclosures.

You sound like you have your hands full! 3 plus Flash and a new one on the way!! Wow. I admire you. I was just saying how much work these 2 are now with all my rescue cats and crabs. But I'm still looking at all the new ads! I can't help myself! Lol

Going to go look for your post in enclosures now. I have to see this set up.

How is flash??

Also have a boxer, rabbit , three birds and two leopard geckos. Once you get a routine down it's not to bad. I had to cut back on my fishing trips, didn't take my annual fishing trip to California this year. Flash is doing better I think, socializing with the others waving at them. Even caught Archer waving a couple times and never saw him do that before. Poo looks normal, at first it was clear with white streaks. Mixed a slurry this morning of probiotics, bee pollen and raspberry electrrolyte powder and will try and syringe feed him some in a bit.

This is all new to me with the reptiles. I think you are right, once I get a routine things will get better.

I'm so glad Flash is doing better. That's great to hear!!

The sacrifices we make for our babies, not going fishing, I'm sure knowing your babies are happy and healthy gives you just as much joy as a fishing trip! Maybe find a closer fishing spot? Just a thought.

Awwww how cute! Archer and Flash found the wave! That slurry sounds delicious! Good luck with that. I always get most of the slurry on me! Lol

Hdrydr31 - I meant to say I used to get them all over me and by the time I went back to change it my edit time had ran out. Lol

I had to give Wally slurries when he had pinworms and was on Panacur cuz he stopped eating for 2 weeks.

But now I know if in the future or with Lacey if she has pinworms and gets sick with your advice I will do slurries in the bath!! Great idea! Thank you!
