Sudden eating habit change

my dude Rex has been eating 15 crickets in the am and about 6 in the pm for awhile now. Ive been feeding him in a plastic storage bin since i had him. Recently he has stopped eating when i put him in there. Yet when i put the crickets in the enclosure he gobbles them up. Lately though he has only been eating about 15 crickets a day. He will ignore them so i pull them out and put in his salad and the guy goes nuts and eats it all within the day. Never before did he eat salad when i had him. He drops healthy looking loads once or twice a day and i bath him 2 times a week. What the heck happened? He just finished his first shed and is 1 foot long

They are as picky as toddlers when it comes to food. One day they may love something only to change their minds the next day. When Dexter was small she would only eat certain colored fruits and veggies and her preference would change each week. Just when I thought I had it she would change her mind!

As they get older they will also taper off how much live food they want to eat. To keep him interested I would try feeding him something other than crickets. Superworms, hornworms, dubia's are all good alternatives. It's possible too that maybe he is bored with the size of the cricket, maybe something a little bigger would peak his interest.

I did up the cricket size a bit and i have been alternating veggies etc. Ill look into supers. I dont know where to get dubias etc

Have ir beardie only eva had crix maybe he gettin a bit board of them i know if aum1 gave me the same meat everyday id get fed up. Try changing ur feeders for a while?
