My girl is 8 years old. Thought she was shedding on her eyes odd but now a month in she's losing weight because she's refusing to eat even her most favorite blue worms. She's more lethargic in her enclosure and not as perky. When outside she brightens up and is happy but still won't eat. I have been using Flukers Repta Rinse for her eyes off and on, it seems to help in the short term(like how her eyes are open for the pictures) but they seal right back up over night. I already have a vet appointment booked in a few days but want to get some opinions on what you all think in the meantime!

What type of basking bulb are you using? Brand please NO daytime bulbs any colored? UVB I can only assume its a long tube fixture for as old as she is and how old is the UVB? - brand and bulb please- what about her substrate? Once these things are ruled out for cause we can go on to another cause - in the meantime I am going to post to a couple of other people who can also advise- its good your rinsing the eyes because thats going to remove debris if that is what is causing the issue - lethargic in the tank tells me something is going on w/ something in the tank and lighting is a good start -- losing weight could be parasites as it could also be a cause w/ the not eating - I would get a stool sample when she goes in but please NO ENEMAS -- they can end in disaster - if they need one try and get some canned plain pumpkin in her that will make her poop -- also please keep her hydrated

Not sure what to do, sometimes raw honey diluted with a bit of lukewarm water can take care of eye infection, otherwise you'll need a vet to prescribe antibiotic drops.
