Hello! My name is Michelle, and I am definitely new to both this forum and the world of beardies!

I recently became the proud parent of a rescue named Four. She's a special one--a stub-tail! Her "wonderful" previous home had her in a tank with a much larger beardie who decided Four's tail was the perfect meal choice. My friend and I venture a guess at her age around 2-3 months based on her size.

In any case, while I'm new to the beardie world, I've been in the lizard realm for quite some time, and I'm sure Four will find her home here a very happy and spoiled one!

Oh. And I'm sure it's nice to meet you all, too!

Love her name! The stub makes them even cuter! I have a stubby girl too, she was my first rescue and she is such a sweetheart. The best thing about the tail stub is when you are holding them on your chest and you sit down, you don't have to worry about bending and hurting the tail :D

I think the stub was nearly 90% of the reason I took her home. I can relate to the stub--we're both damaged goods! I can't wait to see how the stub grows in relation to her size, but I'm hoping it stays the little inch-long stub cause that would be super adorable!

Nice to meet you all! Thanks for the kind words about the stub :) It looks like her tail has re-opened today but I'm keeping a close eye on it. Four says hello and nice to meet you as well!

Dolly is about 14" long with the stub and 577g. I always wonder how long she really would be with the whole tail. She was 274g when I brought her home in December....I've been trying to put her on a diet because she's so round

My Izzy doesn't have all of her tail either she lost about a half inch or so due to a pinch in something before me..I love the short tails as I'm always worried about hurting their tails when I sit down or bend over.. Simon's tail is soo long!
I think having a nub tail is adorable! Unlike other lizards dragon's tails don't regenerate :( it may plump up a bit. Just keep it clean and it should heal up and will callouse up.
