Stress?

i have a new beardie. She is roughly 7 months. I've only had her two days but I've noticed she has dark stress marks. They go away when she is basking but that's it. She is also eating normal. Collard greens, mustard greens, raspberries and crickets. I'm just wondering if it's normal or not.

I agree^ it takes them a little while to settle in to new environments, some longer than others. As long as her Temps and uvb lighting is correct I wouldn't worry too much. My beardie had them 24/7 for the first few weeks.

What are your temps and current uvb source?

The basking light temp was 106 all day, it is off now for her to sleep. And the cool side was around 70-75. I have a reptisun flourescent light. Not the coil.

Sounds great. I would just allow her some time to settle in then. Your temps sound good so I doubt anything in her environment is stressing her out. Try not to worry in the mean time most of us here have went through the very same thing.

She's probably just settling in still. Stress marks aren't always a bad thing. They can show their stress marks when they are cold, excited or unhappy about something. I do think your girl just needs some more time to settle in.

Ditto what patsy said.. mine show them when they are cold or aggitated.. I don"t really think they are really stress marks per say
