I’m considering getting a beardie friend, but I’m going off to college in 2 years. I’ll be staying there Monday-Friday, but the dorms are closed on weekends. It’s a 1.5 hour train ride home on Friday night, then 1.5 hours there on Monday morning.

Would it stress the beardie out to travel 3 hours a week on the train? Or would it maybe work? I don’t want him/her to be at the school unsupervised without food every weekend.

The train is very quiet here by the way, there’s not many people that travel where I will + people very rarely talk on public transportation here.

Cheers, Luke.

I think itd be okay, (lots of people are gonna want to touch him, dont let them) if he got conditioned to it i think it would be great for him actually, lots of people take their beardies to expos (which is wrong, (they could catch something from other reptiles) i take my beardie to the store all the time, if ur letting him sit on your shoulder please please please get a leash, ive heard awful stories of beardies jumping and they’re never the same after a fall...

I think it might work but like sky bug said keep him on a leash. He will most likely so stress marks at first but then after a while he will get used to it. If you need anymore care advice we are here to help
