My son just got diagnosed with strep throat today. Right now, Precious is curled up underneath his chin and they're both sound asleep. There isn't any chance she could catch strep from him, is there?
possibly. that's about as definitive as i can get. i would limit exposure - as hard as that will be for your son, it might be in the best interest of your beardie. someone else may be able to provide a more positive (or negative) reply. sorry ---
Thanks for your response. I thought I had read or heard something about a person giving their dog strep...or maybe vice versa, but I could be wrong. Tried to look online about it but couldn't find anything definitive. Then when I saw Precious last night just inches from my son's mouth, I started thinking that may not be a good idea! Yeah, it won't be easy but I'll tell my son to leave her alone for a few more days. After tonight, he will have had his antibiotic for more than 24 hours and won't be contagious.
