Do juvies normally climb into plants? I thought they were more of a solid object climber.

I never had plants in mine but they loved to climb on everything. I used to have these hammock ladders that I bought by mistake when I wanted hammocks, but they LOVED them. I just stuck them to the side of the tank and they would just hang on them all day and sleep on them.

Just two fake plants, a basking perch/cave and a branch to climb to and from the basking area.
He loves to sleep in one of the plants though.

I know when Izzy was little like yours I had alot of things in her 55 gal with her to hide/climb/explore and as she got bigger I started removing things so she could move around easier.. so now there are only 2 bushy ones in front of her hides so once she goes in she can still see out but her head is hidden and her body is covered with the half logs. Most of the time she is on her long plank wood piece under her basking and UVB lights.

Maybe your little one for now wants some more things to play on or hide around as that may feel the safest as a little tyke?
