I finally got my beardie today. He's doing great. He ate about 20ish crickets today and ate some collard greens out of ny hand. He's 8 inches so if anyone has a age range that'd be great. He's got an awesome blue streak down the majority of his back. Here's Spyro!

Won't let me view them - gives me an error when I click on the links. Good lord, sounds like he has an appetite which is perfect. Is he a "standard" colored BD? I asked because mine has a lavender streak down his back. Beautiful animals!

yeah I can't view them either. I did it on my phone so I'm gonna redo it on the desktop now. It'll be easier to see the blue, hopefully, in the picture rather than describing it.

I can see them now. That is most definitely a beautiful BD. Looks a lot like mine.

Oh also if your BD is 8 inches my best guess is that he is 2-3 months old. Where did you get him?

I got him from an expo yesterday but excitement got the best of me and I didn't check the vendor's name I ws at.

But thanks! He hasn't taken to any food this morning besides 1 cricket

If you got him last night I wouldn't worry too much about a slow start on eating. Just offer him again maybe two more times today. When I got mine last week, it was pretty obvious when he was ready to eat though.

Also what are your temps at? How soon did you offer after you turned your lamps on? I ask because if I don't wait about 15 or so minutes after I turn them on he's not very interested in food.

They're on a timer and turn on at 7. I woke up at 9 to feed him. Cool side is low 80s and basking spot is close to 110

Btw while he's under the basking bulb he'll close an eye for a few seconds is that normal behavior?

I think as long as there isn't any discharge and he's alert that its just him chilling out.
