When you set up the home.....try to find as many hides the crixs will use on your baby. The more you find and do away with the easier the time they will have hunting. And the less stressful it is on them. Be patient and give them room to get used to there surroundings and you and then LOVE them lol...My Spazz is just like me.....hard headed and a pain in the butt

lol i have read quite a few posts about Spazz lol. this may sound stupid but when its old enough to sex i want to name it Merlin lol. idk y its just the name that stuck in my head when i saw the pic. i feed crickets and roaches to my chameleons. so i was gonna try roaches with him cause i have some that are small enough there not as fast and they dont hide like crickets do. i mean im going to feed him crickets as well plus worms and his veggies but i read in a few places that roaches are a good staple diet for beardies.

anyway. i have a question. i got those pellets there like green red and yellow from the pet store. a friend that has a beardie and all the pet stores i have been always feed those to there dragons. so i got some but i dont see anyone talking about them on here. do you know whats in them. like are they supposted to make it so you dont have to feed them veggies or what. cause i know the pet stores never feed veggies

you can use those wet them down with water or juice. Spazz would not take to them. He is very picky. It is cheaper and healthier i think {plus i believe they like it more} to go get the salad makings. We feed Spazz and now Rid {short for riddilin} Colored Greens, Mustard Greens, Kalle Greens {i believe its called}, and carrots. Food processor so its very small bits and there you have it. Those pellets are ok, if your bd takes to them, but it would be better to just go with the salad. I thought the same way you did about those when i got Spazz....Now i use them to feed the Crix....

thanks! i planned on doing both and since i bought them already im going to try to use them. but i always planed on still giving him a real salad. i am a chef haha its what i do! I have red leaf lettuce, red and green peppers, carrots and summer squash to start with but i thought i would play a bit and see what he really likes before i make a regular salad

lmao thats funny. well i have done a lot of research and i looked at breeder sites and stuff. a lot of them say that a pinky mouse about once a month to once every two months helps keep there fat and vitamins up. everyone has there own opinion. but im gonna give mine a pinky every 2 months.

I asked about that on here. I was informed people here normally only feed furry s {or pinky's } to gravel females { i believe that's what they are called} or every once in a while for, just like you said . The vitamins and fat. Me im a staying away from that till i get my snake. For now the Phx worms will work out well enough. Great on all the numbers.

omg phx worms are so expensive. i have circkets, roaches, silkworms, meal worms, pill bugs(atleast thats what i call them some ppl say potato bugs i dont know there real name) and i breed mice for pinkys, i i breed most of those things myself for my chameleons. its not as hard as you would think. meal worms are the easyest to breed. you just let them sit there and give them a stick of carrot lol.

if you ever want to learn about breeding them or other things you can message me it is so much cheeper then buying them all the time. but dont breed crickets. you can actually develop an allergy to crickets while breeding them. its something in there stink lol. roaches are easy. dubia roaches are from Brazil so if they get away they typically unless you live down south cant breed if they escape. but they cant climb glass so just put them in an aquarium and your set. put a heat pad under the tank to kep it at like 87 to 93 deg and in a few weeks you will have a huge group. its amazing. it saves you so much money!

Congratulations on getting a beardie!!! I know you don't have he/she yet but you will soon! They are amazing animals and even though a lot of money goes into them they are completely worth it!!!! Post pics when you get a chance and the little beardie is all settled in!
