Welp, it's finally that time. You know, the time we all dread.
I've been raising dragons a long time, so i'm familiar with the cycle of life and death. But on Sunday, I lost the oldest of my giant line (remember they went to stay with my brother) and currently, the youngest of the old aged dragons is fading away (she is with me). The youngest is the baby of the line at 26 inches, she's 11 years old. The oldest was her grandmother at 25 1/2 inches and over 13 years (I lost the actual hatch date on her).
I've always considered this group a collection, because i have records tracing them back to Austria and Germany. But somehow, right now........I actually feel sad. In this hobby, I have spent an enormous amount of time watching, recording and caring for these guys.
I've never been like this.......so i'm not sure what to think. Anyways.....for anybody that happens to keep notes on them, Akanu died on Sunday. I think it's safe to say it was old age. Any objections?
