Something wrong with my bearded dragon...

My bearded dragon is looking upward like she is staring at the ceiling. She is moving her head back and forth but it seems like she can't move her head forward/down. Her eyes are darting back and forth. I wish I could attach a video. She was perched up on a rock with her two front feet. She swayed side to side and kind of fell onto the floor of her tank. It looks like she broke her neck, maybe a seizure. I don't know. Has anyone here seen this before. We are completely broke until Friday and there is only one exotic vet near us. It doesn't look like they have any kind of payment plans. Any suggestions/ideas/observations/advice?

Good heavens I have no idea but I will see if I can get some help here---- what kind of UVB are you using? Coil or long tube fixture?

Poor thing, how long have you had her ? This is like star gazing, a term used when beardie's have serious neurological problems. Usually caused by ADV [ atadenovirus ]

We got her as a baby about 7 years ago. I'll look into that. I'm wondering if she could be impacted. She hasn't pooped since she last ate and hasn't touched her food for a couple days, which is unusual for her. I gave her a mix of applesauce and olive oil and also gave her a syringe of lukewarm water. Gave her a bath and massaged her stomach - nothing.

What are your surface basking temps? Those should be taken w/ a digital probe thermometer- impaction would not cause this behavior-- UVB? She will eventually poop give her time- dragons can go as long as 3-4 weeks w/ out pooping- but we need to find out what is causing this behavior -- I have sent Tracie the post shes a vet tech on this forum

Hello,

Wow, poor thing! How old is she, over 7 years old?
She could have some type of respiratory infection, which can affect balance & appears to be
neurological issues.
What type of substrate do you use in the tank?
Keep in mind that if she is impacted, giving the softer foods for awhile, can take a few days to
take effect. Reptiles have a slower metabolic system so it takes longer for things to pass through
them.

Tracie
