Is it normal for a BD to sleep around 13 to 15 hours a day? He settles down around 5pm and wakes about 7am. Also he will not settle unless he has his 'comfort blanket' over him.

That sounds v similar to Rheagal he likes a blanket on him this morning he never got up till about 10 but it was dull out as it was raining. I think it has a lot to do with the time of year as it is winter here and we got him in November but time will tell in the spring/summer when the daylight hours are longer.

Yeah I live in Scotland. Rheagal has a blanket on him every night. How old is your beardie, how long have you had him/her and what's his/her name?

I wait until he's asleep then cover him over and tuck him in. He keeps warm from the blanket overnight.

We have a small unscented microwaveable wheat cushion for Rheagal which he has for his bed when we get him out in the evening then we put a cover on him to keep him toasty. When we go to bed we lift the whole lot and put it in the Viv and he stays on it till the lights come on. We take it out in the morning when he has got up.

Marley just curls up in the corner around 6 to 7-ish then we just cover him over. It's like putting a child to bed haha.

I drop an old shirt of mine in his tank under the light on the cool side so when hes ready he goes and curls up in it and its nice n warm from the light. He usually will stay in it for a couple hours after the lights come on too.

Mine stays around 60 to 65. He settles better when he has a small blanket over him. It's quite lovely in our house so there's many distractions. He settles down when he realises we are taking old food out and turning lamps off.

Nice makes him familiar with your scent.

Yea that's chilly. Below 65 should have a heat source.

Mine never drops below 70 so was curious.

That should have said lively not lovely haha. He's always had his blanket, loves to get snuggled into it when he's on our shoulders watching tv.
