Sitting with mouth open!!???

I always wondered what this meant. I thought my dragon did it because she was happy. Any ideas why she sits there with here mouth open?

She is gaping which means she's adjusting her body temp which is normal

She's basking! : D Just adjusting her temps (As Sadie said)

It's actually a good sign that her basking spot is a good temperature. But make sure you have a cool spot for her to escape to if she decides it's too much sun.

It is? My beardie did it outside the whole time! I guess it was really nice out!

She does it even when not basking?
Do you have temp gauges in the tank?
My Rusty does gape in the morning, but by afternoon he has moved to a cooler spot or just beside the hottest spot, but make sure it's not too hot in her tank, always keep the cool side cool hot side hot, and offer plenty of greens for her to get water

Nope, always when basking. She basked outside! And yup, always greens. And she loves to actually drink water out of a water bowl too!
