Hey everyone,
I just got this guy about 10 days ago and he’s been doing really well. Hes about 6 months old. He’s basking, taking baths, eating a healthy mix of veggies and bugs, even doing great with handling. Although, today he’s acting a little weird. He’s been sitting on the enclosure floor almost all day and I didn’t think anything of it. Then I took him out for a little bath and he drank a little. When I put him back in the enclosure he just stood there almost stunned. He wouldn’t move for about 20mins, until suddenly he basically walked the entire perimeter of the enclosure and then just stopped and froze in this spot. He hasn’t moved. It just seems a little weird.

He doesnt look so hot --- please NO more baths for now --- and he does not look 6 months old -- he looks to be around 2-3 months ---- what are you using for a UVB coil or tube --- how are you getting surface basking temps? No stick ons they should be taken w/ a digital probe thermometer --- this stuff I am asking about is crucial to his over all health --- where did you get the dragon?

I got him from a breeder that has 2-3 months and 5-6 months and he was in rhe 5-6 months and significantly bigger than the other babies. I have a T8 strip UVB. Waiting for the digital thermometer to come in the mail but the one that came with the cage (stick on) is reading 100° exactly.

Ok stick on is inaccurate -- when you get the probe place it on the spot where he basks - I am gonna say he's in the 2-3 month range so going w/ that age temps should be 105-110- see what he does w/ that temp we can always adjust- the uvb needs to be in the tank reptisun bulbs are the best-- if there is a clear plastic cover over the bulb take it off - it must be inside the tank directly above the basking decor 6-8 inches- imperative
