i woke up today to find my beaded dragon had lost her tail. She showed no signs of tail rot. to me it looked like a stick shed maybe i don’t really know. Also there is some yellowing underneath where the tail fell off, I’m assuming it’s infection. It’s Saturday and there nothing I can do about vets. Anyway I can keep it clean the time being or anything like that. Just need better clarification on what’s going on

Wow I have never seen anything like this before ---please get some pasteurized honey on it right away Manuka is a good one to use -- this will prevent infection - NO crickets in the tank they will go straight for the honey --- I am going to have the vet tech on the board look at it and advise more and one more person as well

I got a response back here is what she has said
I've never seen this either. This needs a vet ASAP, there is infection [ tail rot ] going on under the scales and will continue, likely causing sepsis that will eventually kill her. Further up the tail almost surely needs amputated sad to say but hopefully will save her life.

This info is actually very upsetting. I won’t be able to afford amputation. Thank you for the quick response and a better understanding on this.

Call a reptile vet and get a quote on the cost --- she needs antibiotics and surgery if she is to live --

Hello,

Wow, I don't think I have ever seen a tail just fall off like that. That is a good amount of her tail.
At the very least, she needs a vet visit, even if you can't afford amputation, to help clear up any
infection going on.
It never looked suspicious at all prior to now?
You can put some raw unpasteurized honey on it, for now, to help with residual infection.
