Imugi has finally arrived. Safe and sound. She's so cute. We got a lot of stink eye looks from her. Trying very hard to leave her alone, but is very difficult! She is sooooo tiny!
Without further ado...introducing Imugi! Or MooMoo for short.

Checkin out her pin unicorn buddy. She was trying to eat the tail. Guess pinky will have to wait a while.

Hangin around. I'm worried that she might not be able to get to her basking spot. Will have to see how that goes.

Ok. It scares me that she's so tiny. My do would accidentally eat her if she decided to take a lick! She can be skittish, then not be skittish. I have my daughter looking for a too small shirt to put into the cage. Anything I haven't thought about? I put veggies in there. The roaches are not getting here until tomorrow. I'm really hoping there are some tiny ones in there! Otherwise I need to make an emergency stop in Austin. I really for some reason didn't think she'd be so small! I went through looking for the smallest mealies...not great pickins yet considering none of the pupae have turned into beetles yet. I only have one pupae superworms. They are taking their sweet time. I'm a nervous wreck!

OMG! She is so TINY! Can she easily get down from the side of the tank when she climbs it? How do they even know she's a girl so so small???? I'm so happy for you :)

I'm just going by what they told me. I have no idea how they can tell, but they say 99% it's a girl. LOL I guess we will see when she's bigger. Luckily her name goes either way.

She goes up and goes down no problem. She's been everywhere except in her hides. I was worried that she wouldn't get up to her basking spot, but she's there now. She's been on her hammock, her food bowl...just everywhere. She even ate a little bit!

It's so hard to leave her alone. I check on her, talk to her a bit, but am keeping my hands out. Aubrey does the same.

I got her a skull today, and promptly broke it when we got home. It's gluing together as I type.

Yeah, her head is shedding. I think you can give a bath right away just for a short time. Good to get her used to them. She is absolutely beautiful! I love that stare with that big eye! Good to not touch her so much but talk to her so she gets used to your voice. Putting a shirt in with her with your scent or your daughters is a good idea. My boy doesn't like hides and up to a few weeks ago, he hated being tucked in at night.

Have fun with her! Keep putting up pictures :)

A picture of her first poop - you ARE a proud mama! LOL. Congratulations - she's adorable. If the roaches are too big, get crickets - she may eat a lot of them - 15 or 20 up to 3 times a day. for this little gal, you're gonna need tiny roaches. Keep us posted

Honestly scared to death I'll accidentally kill her! I don't feel prepared at all. Seemed to me things are good if she pooped! LOL

Well, I gave her a bath yesterday. She was fine in the water. Almost lost her to the floor when we were taking her out. I guess we stressed her good. She's pretty much stayed on her basking spot all the rest of the day yesterday, slept there and is still there. Not eating. Yesterday she ate most of her salad and mealies. I know mealies are not the best for babies, but the breeder was feeding her mealies, and I picked ones for her that had just shed. No food today yet, and she's got stress marks. Sigh. One step forward two steps back.

She let me pet her a bit today. She let me know when she had enough. She also ate a dubia that I let loose in front of her. She seems to only eat in the morning though. I got her to lick water off her face from her misting today. But a little bit of progress. Yay!

Ok. Little girl is not eating very well now. I spritz her with water two or three times a day and she is licking up the drops from her nose. Acts like she likes it, but I can't guarantee I know what the heck I'm talking about when it comes to her. LOL. Yesterday, she ate two mealies and one dubia that I placed in front of her, then she just looked at me and let another dubia get away. That sucker is still loose somewhere and I can't find it. Fast little poops. She's shedding right now. First her head then her arms and her belly. Can that be what's keeping her appetite low? I leave dubia in her dish. She is pooping every day. She's still skittish if I move too fast. Wow those babies can jump! Who knew? I'm kinda impatient I know. I see how your babies are with you and can't wait to see that here. She's only been with us a week. By the way she is cute when she's chewing up her dubia. Her little mouth! LOL

Rubbing her shedding belly all over the puddle I made sprit zing her.

Sometimes when they shed they loose their appetites. Pooping is a good sign means she is eating something. Try the petting and holding her at night right before her lights go out, that's when she will have her guard down and let you hold her. Start with 5 minutes then keep adding more time.

I pet her tonight before lights out. She seemed ok with it. I usually stick my arm in there a couple of times throughout the day. I had to go moving stuff around and lifting tiles today...we lost another dubia. I found it. It's funny that when I spook her (usually by moving my hand too fast) she runs to her hammock, which holds my daughter's shirt and my sports bra (yes, I know, but it's small LOL).

I'm leaving the dubias in her bowl since they can't climb out. I wish I could fix it so that they couldn't run away. She seems to be like the geckos where only movement from the food will spark any interest, but she will not chase it down. They pretty much have to walk in front of her or try to go past her before she will eat them. I got her to eat 3 today. No mealies today. Seems all of those are turning into pupa right now. Ugh.

Oh wow, she's learning at an early age! Dexter does the same thing with her bugs. They spark her interest only if they are moving and she will only eat the ones that walk in front of her. She can't make any extra effort to move a step to get them!
