After about 6 months Dexter is going through a shed again, a very slow one. Her tail from the base to about the middle shed 2 weeks ago and this is whatitnow looks like. Is this normal? The top of her tail is still real light in color.

Thanks. I think I'm just being a worry wort, she seems to be going through an awkward shed.

Mine turned really pale first it was the tail and then the back legs and then his whole back and front legs. Then everything shed off in a few days. The bath helped it a lot. I just gently pet him in the bath and it was just peeling off. You never want to forcefully full though.

Just when I thought he was done his tail turned pale a week later and shed again all by itself without the rest of his body?? Now his body tummy and head and front and back legs look like they are going to shed again! I guess he just a growing boy :) I sure like how they look when they are freshly shed though. The colors are always the nicest!

I think that's what I'm missing with Dexter. Her tail shed but it didn't have that fresh pinky color she used to get when she shed. The top of her chest shed too with her tail but is now going to shed again along with her lower belly but not the MIDDLE of her belly! I think her head is getting ready too because you can really see the orange around her eyes, she looks like a zombie or like she has some infectious disease!

I give her baths every other day or so because it's the only way she will poop. I have an extra soft baby toothbrush that I gently run over her and it helps loosen the stubborn skin as well as gets off blueberry/blackberry stains!

How old is your boy?
