Just a quick question. How long does it last norm. Spazz has been doing it off and on. For about what a week and a half. When he goes into the big portions of the shed he wont touch crixs so we give him mealiworms to keep his streangth up. But, since this is the first full shed me and my gf are going thru im going to be a worried mommy/daddy :)

Continue as you normally would, up the misting & warm soaks a bit. How long a shed takes, varies from BD to BD & from Shed to Shed. There is nothing more you have to do, it will complete it's shed when it is ready to ;) .

Germ is right....shedding is a natural process for the beardie....that means they are growing!! When I know Spike is in a shed I always give him warm baths. It seems to soothe the beardie and help the shed. Don't ever 'help' your beardie its skin. It will come off on it's own. Actually, the shedded skin is pretty cool. I have a whole piece of the tummy and back. I show them off to people when come to my house.....eeewww they say!! He may not eat at all and if he doesn't that is ok....he knows what he needs to do....tough little critters!!

hey guys, Sully started shedding over night!
I woke up and he was scratching his head on stuff and all that, so I misted him, and i put a semi smooth rock ( No sharp parts) in his tank, and he's been using it as a scratching post Lol
anything else I could do for him? Ill be giving him a little bath/soak after i get home from work

They definitely love a warm bath when they're shedding! You can also mist them outside of the enclosure on a daily basis until the shed is complete.
