You can spray him in the tank --- bathing is going to stress him out-- when the shed becomes dry and crackly take a soft baby toothbrush and brush him - this will loosen the shed --- please dont pick at it --

By the way, I couldn’t be cooking him with all this new light could I? Should there be an acclimation period? He snow under an 100w and 75w basking lamp and the Arcadia 12%. Just curious. Thanks

Yes you can cook your dragon that is why you want the digital probe thermometers placed on the spot where he basks--- they will move out from under it if its too hot but and bask in a spot where he is most comfortable - you dont need to leave the probe there stick it to the side of the tank and check it periodically for temps- basking bulbs can wear out in time --

As long as your dragon can get out of the UVB rays to where hes not forced to sit under them all the time except when its shut off you are good - that is why I never recommend tanks w/ full UVB across --- 24" fixtures are good for 4x2x2 tanks anything longer than the 48" then a longer UVB fixture would be needed --

He has 2 caves and the cool side is pretty much out of the rays

would shedding cause his stress stripes on his belly show? His whole tail is pale and I believe it’s shedding again. Thanks

He looks ok- you can mist him in the tank - when the shed becomes crackly and dry take and must him then get a soft baby toothbrush and gently brush him this will get all the loose shed off
Yeah we have been. But he definitely hides more and eats less when he shedding. Don’t think he likes it lol
