Not sure if this is the right place to post or not but here it goes. Once a BD hits the year old stage, how often should they shed? Boogie is close to 22 inches long and I believe that next month he will be a year old. He has not shed in close to 2 months? He may already be over a year. Pet Store baby. Tessie was born in May and I am gaging Boogies age by hers. She is almost 18 inches. I got him in July and he was 7 inches. I know there is no way to be sure. Thanks for what ever info you have.

After that one year mark, they tend to slow down with their sheds. It varies per dragon, but on average, it is said that they can shed 3-4 times per year.

Yardley sheds around every 2-4 months, Sue... Orion and Gem are still shedding every couple of months... Annebelle monthly.
Yardley 1 yr+, Orion/Gem 1yr 3 weeks, Annebelle 10 months.

Could there be an underline reason why mine are shedding that much? If I remember right mine have not shed since early December.

I'm curious about this too. YoYo was shedding once a month or so until recently. He hasn't shed since about December. He's about 7 months old.

If you feed them.. they will grow. If you feed them more... they grow more...

Just like people, every dragon is different. Some grow fast and slow down and some are constant growers. As long as your lighting, temps and feedings are up to snuff, your beardies may be reaching their full potential or taking a break from the rapid growth they have experienced thus far.
