this is our first beardie and she has began to shed. she is basking more with her eyes closed she just started shedding today and it started at her nose and are around the eyes and mouth is normal/ ok i guess if i was shedding i would want to be laying in the sun and it might would be relaxing so i would close my eyes. we have not had her very long shes not use to us yet i hope i do not freak her out when i mist her i do not want to stress her as she has gotten so much more comfortable with us she runs around gets in her water bowl and is eating reguarlly now

They will shed ALOT while in their growth phase sometimes it will feel like they are constantly shedding :) Misting them is good just be careful that you don't raise the humidity level too much in her tank. Giving more frequent warm soaks will help alot in shedding, you can use a baby toothbrush and very gently going in the direction of the scales you can help if the shed is about off, don't pull any shed off as you can damage their scales underneath...it is usually best to let them do it themselves, they will occasionally eat the shed this is normal and fine... sometimes they need help getting the shed off their toes.
