Shedding issue

I have a 2 n half year old female.. Her skin has gone white ready to shed but around it the skin has gone dark /: never noticed it before! Is it normal? Iv had her UVB bulb in there for 10/11 months I'm getting a new one tomorrow to swap as I was told they loose the uv after so many months! She has never had a problem shedding before and her behaviour hasn't changed either /: won't let me upload a picture /: I will try again later

yes it looks ok. looks like my ladybug. goes white then dark then it looks almost normal just before it peels off.

Oh okay thank you do you think its best for me to put a new UVB bulb in anyway?

Definately replace the UVB, it has to be replaced every 6 Months

I do believe it depends on the make of bulb, I was told my arcadia flou tube would need to b replaced every 12 months. If in doubt swap it out is my way of thinking.

linear tubes are "generally" every six months as P stated. i use mvb's which are 9 to 12 months or depending on the manufacturer as WatfordOleary17 stated. there's really no way to be 100% certain unless you have a uvb meter so if you are using linears, i would do as P says and change at 6 months. i must say i am guilty of pushing my bulbs to the max also

I've Brendon looking at Arcadia powersun bulbs which offer both heat and uv, they look really gd and the company garantees them for a yr and Will replace free of charge aslong as u give them the faulty bulb back.

Be warned they r expensive in comparison but wow Wat a natual look
