Hey everyone. As I am new to BD's, I was wondering about shedding. If you post a reply please answer these questions:
-What is shedding?
-Do they shed one scale at a time or a body coat?
-Do they need any extra care when shedding?
-What should I do during shedding?
-How often do Beardies shed?
-What are signs of shedding?
-What to do one they have shed?

Thanks, y'all!

Shedding is growing -- they say a healthy dragon will shed
NO they shed different parts of the body at a time -
Not really - they tend to get crabby and are very uncomfortable
Take care of them as you usually do -
Dragons shed at different times - it is hard to say -as they get older they tend to slow down on shedding as they quit growing after a certain age usually around 2 or so
Scales get light dark or opaque looking color - they may not eat as much and they may hang out in their hides more often
Basically leave them alone - make sure they have something in the tank they can rub on to try and get the shed off - nothing sharp - my dragon will drag his belly across the tile floor or scratch his head on his resin basking log
You can mist them in the tank and take a soft baby toothbrush when the skin has become crackly and dried and gently brush them---- DO NOT PICK THE SKIN OFF you can damage the scales if you pick it and it bleeds
