So I've had a dragon for nearly 3 years now, and for whatever reason I have struggled to find out what gender it is. I've always referred to it as a male, but I thought maybe someone here could help me out. View attachment 14099
I've Found shining a flashlight from top down while holding tail up while they are on a flat surface works well to see the hemipenes or lack there of. Kinda looks female from these shots.
Please don't put it on it's back, they have trouble breathing on their back. As the tail get thicker it gets harder to sex it I think. It looks like a female to me though.
Oh forgot to mention go into a nice dark room put him/her on the edge of the counter lift their tail back gently put the flashlight ontop of the base of tail and you should be able to see thru the base of tail enough to see the hemipenes or the bump.
