I am looking to get a beardie soon and I have a couple of questions regarding set up.

is 4 * 2 * 2 enough?

Also the room the viv would be in is cold at night, if I got the Evo Pro 3 thermastat would I be better off with a heat mat or a NLE bulb for night?

Cheers.

the 4x2x2 is good for an adult if you get a baby you can use the 4x2x2 but I would section it off -- like 1/3rd - make sure your using a 24" long tube fixture for a UVB 12% bulb 24 watt Pro T 5 Arcadia - or a 24" Zoo Med fixture w/ a 22" Reptisun 10.0 T 5 those need to be in the tank - approx 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor -- you want a clear solid bright white bulb basking bulb NO colored NO off white NO yellowish or Daytime bulbs - CHE's are good for heat at night dragons heat from the back NO heat mats please - not sure about your thermastat I dont use them but I can have some one help w/ that -- your temps in the tank are going to be determined by the age of the dragon and you will need 2 digital probe thermometers to get accurate surface basking temps -- 105-110 F for a baby -- 95-100 for a 6 month and older dragon

thanks for almost answering the question?
Heres the response I got from the person I reached out to
I'm not sure what part of their question wasn't answered in your response. As you said, a CHE/heat projector bulb is better to use for overnight heat. The thermostat will have it kick on as needed depending on the temeprature setting. A 4x2x2 enclosure is ok as a minimum size for a dragon. The more space that can be provided, the better.
