Safe air fresheners?

Hey guys! So this is a topic we all have to deal with I'm sure but man I wish living things didn't have to go to the bathroom. Well prepare yourself for disgusting. I finally got around to cleaning Odahviing's tank today, mostly because the unbearable smell was too much to handle. I swear it was rank and 100% unpleasant. Normally I let droppings actually sit under the heat lamp for a few hours to let them dry out before I remove them so they don't leave a dirty stain that's hard to get out but sometimes they are just too runny and horrible and that's where this smell is coming from. Even though It's clean now that smell is still there and is even affecting the surrounding. I can actually still smell it from up to maybe 8 feet away . I would love to spray some air freshener in there but I know reptiles can be very sensitive to chemicals and I don't want to hurt her. I guess I can spray some in the surrounding area but I still don't want any getting in there. So I ask is there any safe air freshener that can be used for this? Either inside or around the tank?

I use Wipe Out to clean the tank out and I try to wipe up the poop as soon as it happens so they don't walk through it and wear it. I had very smelly poop with Dolly and I sent her poop in to be tested for parasites and she had pinworms. I treated her for a few weeks and now her poop doesn't smell. That might be something to think about.

Yeah, that's certainly something to watch for but I've been mixing up her diet a bit since she's having a growth spurt and I think her stomach is just adjusting to all the different food. As for the smell, fortunately I think it dissipated this morning :)

Yea their poop can really reek, I give mine daily morning bath time to do their business. I give them their salads first Simon eats some of his then when he's done I take him right to the sink and within a few min he lets loose.. And his is awful...I have had both of mine tested and they are both clear, but I have ordered probiotics and that will hopefully that will calm the stink...My gal Izzy her poop doesn't stink, however when she was a baby OMG yes it did..

For sure have her poop tested to make sure he's clear of parasites..and get some probiotics to help with her tummy balance.

Yeah pretty awful for sure. It's like a wet metallic smell. Of course it's always been like that but come on, for an animal that makes that small of a mess why? :( Well I signed up for this kind of torture when I started raising animals lol.
