I believe it is.. Quite a bit above average age.. That's why I decided to join, I want to give her the best life possible.. Thinking sadly she could go at any time.

I actually purchased her back in highschool in 2000, so I guess she's going on 13 lol

Thank you, I felt bad, because I had a custom built set up Made when I lived at my parents but I Didnt have the room when I moved out so she was downgraded to a smaller aquarium. But I just recently picked up this 36x18x19 tank, not too familiar if that would be called a breeder tank or whatever? But she seems to be happier already.

I think a breeder tank is considered 40gal but not sure. Has she ever laid eggs? I know females can but they aren't fertile. Never could understand that!

Oh I thought the calculation was lxhxw/231 which gave me just over 50 gal haha, the tag said 50 gallon anyhow when I bought. I was just un aware of what a "breeder" cage is

50 gal size is very good. Don't know why they call aquariums 'breeders'. Maybe that is where a boy and a girl mate and she lays her eggs?

Certain sized aquariums are used because they are more effectively sized to Breed Fish, therefore called Breeder Tanks.
